Call & Quote Bar Pro guide

Pro adds four things to the free Call & Quote Bar plugin: opening hours, different buttons on chosen pages, tap counts and more styles. Most settings are on one page: Settings > Call & Quote Bar.

Install

  1. Install the free Call & Quote Bar plugin: upload call-and-quote-bar.zip from your Pro download in Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin, activate it, and set your phone number and quote page.
  2. Upload call-and-quote-bar-pro.zip in Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin, then activate it.
  3. Paste your licence key in Settings > Call & Quote Bar licence, for one-click updates.

Opening hours

Tick “Use opening hours” and set the hours for each day. Outside them, the Call button either becomes a button to your quote page (label “Leave a message”, which you can change) or is hidden. Add dates you are closed, one per line, such as 2026-12-25. The hours use the timezone from Settings > General. A closing time before the opening time runs past midnight; 00:00 to 00:00 means open all day. The switch happens in the visitor’s browser, so it also works with page caching.

Different buttons on chosen pages

Each rule picks pages, a whole type (for example all posts) or the front page, which buttons show there, and optionally another phone number, for example an emergency number on your emergency page. The first rule that matches a page wins; other pages show the normal buttons.

Tap counts

Settings > Call & Quote Bar taps shows the taps on each button for the last 7, 30 and 90 days, with a CSV download. Only counts are kept, never who tapped. To stop one visitor from inflating the numbers, at most 20 taps an hour from one visitor count; for that, a scrambled code made from the visitor’s IP address is kept for one hour, never the address itself. Counts older than 400 days are removed. You can switch counting off in the Style section.

Styles

Choose the normal bar, a floating pill, one round call button (bottom right) or a slim bar at the top on computers. A colour preset sets both button colours; the text colour is chosen for you so it stays easy to read.
